11th & 12th Std Electives — Taught Hands-On, Not Just On the Board

Note: The focus areas below are broad topic clusters to help you understand what each elective covers and plan your study time — they're a study-planning guide, not a literal reproduction of the official chapter list or marks scheme. Always check the current year's official Maharashtra State Board circular for the exact syllabus and paper pattern, or ask us directly — we keep our lab curriculum updated every year.

Computer Science — Focus Areas

Focus AreaWhat It CoversImportance
Programming Fundamentals & OOPVariables, control structures, functions, classes/objects, inheritance, polymorphismHigh
Data Structures & AlgorithmsArrays, stacks, queues, linked lists, recursion, sorting & searchingHigh
Database ManagementTables, SQL queries, joins, basic normalizationMedium
Boolean Algebra & Digital LogicLogic gates, truth tables, simplifying boolean expressionsMedium
Networking & Communication BasicsNetwork types, topologies, core internet conceptsLow
Practical LabHands-on programs, a mini project combining code + databaseHigh

Typical paper split: Theory + Practical exam, with practicals carrying a meaningful chunk of total marks — so lab fluency matters as much as theory revision.

Information Technology — Focus Areas

Focus AreaWhat It CoversImportance
Web Development FundamentalsHTML, CSS, JavaScript basics, building a responsive pageHigh
Programming with PythonCore syntax, data handling, simple scriptsHigh
Database ConceptsSQL/MySQL basics for connecting data to an appMedium
Networking & Cyber SafetyNetwork basics, safe practices, cyber-law awarenessMedium
Emerging Tech AwarenessCloud, IoT and AI at a conceptual, non-coding levelLow
Practical LabBuild and deploy a working mini web page/appHigh

Typical paper split: Theory + Practical exam, with practicals carrying a meaningful chunk of total marks — so lab fluency matters as much as theory revision.

Our Teaching Approach — Learn by Building

Whether you take Computer Science or IT, we don't teach coding by reading slides. Every topic is paired with a live session where you write and run the code yourself, on your own machine, alongside the instructor — not after the class, from notes.

  • Live coding sessions: concepts are demonstrated by writing code from scratch in real time, mistakes and all — so you see how a working program is actually built, not just the finished version.
  • Code-along practice: you type the same program alongside the instructor during class, then extend it yourself with a small twist as a check for understanding.
  • Mini-projects, not just exercises: data structures, database and web-dev topics are tied together into small working projects (a simple database-backed program, a functioning webpage) instead of isolated textbook questions.
  • Debugging as a skill: we deliberately walk through broken code and fix it live, since reading error messages and tracing bugs is what separates board marks from real programming ability.
  • Doubt-first labs: practical sessions are kept small so every student gets their code reviewed and questions answered on the spot, not just at the end of the syllabus.
Why this matters: Board exams test whether you can explain a concept and write correct code under exam conditions — but real fluency (and confidence in the practical exam) only comes from typing code yourself, debugging it, and building something that runs. That's the gap our live-coding format is built to close.
